How to Choose The Right Dog Bed.

Choosing a Bed For My Dog - Consider the Following:
Question: How does your dog sleep?
1) Does your dog curl up into a ball or enjoy the comfort and security of a bolster against their body? The donut dog bed is arguably the most popular dog bed made. It provides both comfort and security. They are great for colder weather as the bolster walls keep them out of the direct air.
2) OR does your dog sleep mostly in a nest/nested position, like a circle? If so if recommend a round, pillow-style dog bed. Many of our designer beds offer these popular styles.
My dog, Buddy, sleeps on his side most of the time. He likes to stretch out. If this is your dog then a rectangular bed will be best for him/her. They look great in any décor and are easy to store away if need be. You can tuck them under furniture, but all of our designer beds are beautiful - with custom designer fabrics that will give you every reason to show them off!
Do you have an older or arthritic dog?
We have many memory foam beds which are great for giving your dog the proper support he/she needs. Also, several of our beds have “convoluted” foam which is also known as “hospital” bed foam (egg-crate foam)which helps give the extra comfort and support.

Will my dog like a leather bed?
This is difficult to answer because it's like asking if "people like leather furniture". We have leather furniture and wouldn’t go back to traditional fabric for anything. Leather stays room temperature and most homes are kept at a comfortable temperature. Leather breathes and is very easy to clean and maintain. Our collection of leather beds from leather-feather, are more expensive but they are truly an investment. It is full grain leather and has a tough, thick hide. One of the best features of our leather dog beds is that they look great; they compliment any home and in many cases improve the look of the home. If you have leather furniture you should strongly consider a leather dog bed!
How do I size my dog for his/her new dog bed? We suggest that you catch your dog napping and observe what position they sleep in. Then measure them and add about 5 inches all the way around them. For example, if they are 24” long and 14” wide then a dog bed around 19” wide and 29” long will give them maximum comfort and not have them feel squeezed in. This of course is not a perfect science and some dogs don’t need as much extra room. Just use common sense and you should be okay.
